Further to my previous entry - would like to add that Fargaze is still the only kennel we use - and actually check dates with them before booking a holiday. Still the same staff, and still very happy with service we receive. Have seen very elderly dogs being booked in, which i think shows the trust that people have in the kennel. It's still hard to walk away and leave our dog, but they even tolerate me phoning to check on him!

I visited a number of kennels locally and turned up without prior warning... I was allowed full access (which not all did) and was impressed by the cleanliness, their attitude and the general 'feel' of the place. Our dog has now been at least 4 times (that I can remember!) and he is happy to go in and comes out looking healthy and happy. I've also seen the same staff each time which I think is a good sign and they seem to have sussed him out well. It's not cheap, but after visiting some of the kennels, I think it is worth the money for the peace of mind it gives.
